Refractory Recycling Goes Greenfield in Odisha

RHI Magnesita India is partnering with Khemka Refractories to launch a new greenfield refractory recycling facility in Odisha. This joint venture (51% RHI Magnesita, 49% Khemka) is a major step forward for sustainable manufacturing, creating an efficient circular economy for spent refractory materials.

By locating the facility right next to major steel manufacturing clusters in Odisha, the partnership solves massive logistical challenges—slashing transportation costs and streamlining collection. The facility will combine RHI Magnesita’s world-class global recycling expertise with Khemka Refractories’ deeply rooted regional sourcing networks to turn industrial waste back into valuable raw materials.
